There is a 17% buyers premium for in-house bidders, with a 2% discount for payment with cash or check. There may be up to a 3% added fee to bid through the internet or through the iOS app (please check with the auction gallery).

All purchases are subject to the current Massachusetts sales tax unless the purchaser either A) possesses a Massachusetts sales tax exemption or resale number and registers that number with the company, or B) Has the purchases shipped out of state directly from Sandwich Auction by a bona fide shipping agent.

Please take advantage of a personal inspection of all lots by attending our in house previews. All merchandise is sold “AS IS” with the exception of glass and china, which may be returned if not sufficiently described and is brought to our attention immediately after it is paid for.

Payment is to be made on the day of the auction. Due to limited storage facilities, all lots must be picked-up within one week of the sale or a storage fee may apply.

If you cannot attend our auction you may leave a bid in person or by phone. Bids will be executed competitively up to but not exceeding the amounts left. This service is a convenience offered to customers who are unable to attend the sale and Sandwich Auction House will not be responsible for error or failure to execute bids.

Phone Bids will always be accepted at the auctioneer’s discretion. We require a credit card to be on file and we accept Visa or Master Card. If you do not have an established relationship with Sandwich Auction, we may ask to charge and then refund to your card a nominal fee to verify its legitimacy. Sandwich Auction shall not be held responsible for any failure to properly execute such a bid whether it be due to equipment failure, loss of connection, or failure to hear or understand the bidder’s directions. Please consider leaving a “safety bid” with us in case we cannot reach you by phone.

If payment is not received within 10 days of the auction date there may be, at the auctioneer’s discretion, a fee for unpaid merchandise. An interest charge of 1% of the invoice total will be applied on the tenth day after the auction, and every seven days thereafter. Due to limited storage facilities, all lots must be paid for and picked-up within one week of the sale or a storage fee may apply. If this is not possible please make arrangements with management before placing bids.

Internet bidding services will be offered on select auctions only. Our terms and conditions are different for our customers’ purchases made through internet bidding. You must view and agree to these terms on the internet bidding console site before bidding.
